The wealth gap will continue growing because it is much easier to make money once you have a lot of money.
If you can skim a tiny bit of value off of 300mm people you will have a greater gap than if you skim that tiny bit of value off of 200mm people. The larger the population, the more money or value that exists in total, the larger your gap can be.
That's true but there is also something called compounding interest. The relationship between people and money is not entirely linear.
