The greatest thing about PBS Space Time and Matt (previous host was pretty good too) is it's not dumbed down or watered down and only the smallest of layperson explainers are given.
It's "keep up or fall behind", almost like sitting in a college level astrophysics class but more entertaining at times.
But sometimes on some topics I have to watch it a dozen times to fully grasp the concepts and the math at some points is beyond me. Some days my brain is just not working well enough (which makes youtube the wrong place for them but I save them to loop later).
Maybe my favorite part is I love it when he starts breaking out the Penrose Diagrams.
(actually by the end of that video Matt demonstrates point by point that there aren't enough black holes to be dark matter for several reasons/types, their mass doesn't add up enough, there would have to be more micro-sized black holes than all the stars in the universe and we'd be observing some really strange behaviors if that was the case, like disappearing neutron stars - just a few edge cases are left)
My absolute favorite channel on all of YouTube. Matt is fantastic.

Some other channels you probably already know of but may enjoy:
- https://www.youtube.com/@veritasium (specifically love his two videos on the electromagnetic force). - https://www.youtube.com/@ScienceAsylum - https://www.youtube.com/@ScienceClicEN
(sorry only available on youtube, they no longer seem to mirror on pbs.org )
If you aren't familiar with Matt, yes he is at least 50% Neanderthal but also brilliant, lol
btw I owe @api an apology, apparently black holes could indeed be dark matter, I missed this one from Matt a few years ago (or forgot the lesson)
